Yes, I am a pirate. 200 years too late...
Well, 30 is here. I am not adjusting well.
We went to bed early for us last night at 11, and as I laid there, it was as if I could hear the clock counting down the end of my 20's, the end of my youth. I cried when it got to 11:45. I had a doomed call with Daddy and it still didn't make me feel better. Why to some people are birthdays just another day? My family has always made a huge deal out of birthdays. I always had a party and a cake, presents, a birthday dinner, surrounded by family and friends. Why not anymore?
I am sitting here at work. On. My. Birthday. I made a pact with myself never to do this. It was unavoidable this year. I started a new job, and I only get one day off during the week now, and I had to use it yesterday to get my hair done. Well, maybe it will get better. So far, I haven't even gotten a card.
:(
Boo to 30.

Enjoyed a lazy morning in, breakfast, then an umbrella-covered book-reading day at the beach. I spent a nice long hour in the sea with my baby. The cool atlantic ocean water was soothing. I could almost sense the healing it was doing to my skin and my body. I'm sitting here during my last hour of beach time with only one day to go left of vacation. Tomorrow, I plan to get up with the sun, cook breakfast, and get out here early. I look forward to a night of silliness playing puttputt and eating a nice dinner, watching my love enjoy his sea food. A week at the beach sure does soothe the soul...

So today is the kind of day you want to rise with the sun, go for a run, cook breakfast for your sweetie, and then hit the beach for some early sun action. Well, last night about 0100, the wind picked up, and made the awning make this awful creaking noise. It kept me awake all night. So, its 11:45 and I just made it to the beach...last night we met up with amanda and angela at wild water and wheels, and came home exhausted and planning an early turn in...we went in, put our stuff down, got the dog to walk her, and when we tried to go back in, the door was locked. After calling my father in law collect, because all of our cell phones and credit cards were inside, including the car keys, he tried to have aaa call me back on the pay phone, but it wouldn't let me answer. So, I flagged down a patrol guy on a golf cart, and he radioed our maintenance guy and drove me down to the office. They said oh, if its a trailer in storage, we have a spare key! Well, no key. So he called aaa for me and then as I am giving the lady the last of my info, the radio buzzed and said the maintenance guy got us in. So I walked the mile back to the trailer...
